Award

Purpose

Our purpose is to support and launch initiatives that promotes understanding and dialogue in order to counter conflicts as the one that took the life of Finn Nørgaard. Click below to read more about the background of the association.

Our purpose is to support and launch initiatives that promotes understanding and dialogue in order to counter conflicts as the one that took the life of Finn Nørgaard. The association has a special focus on disadvantaged kids and adolescents. Our work consists of dialogue, film projects and collaboration with other organization with the same goals as ours. We try to help where help is most needed.

Initiatives

The association works long-term, continually and pro-actively to ensure that tragedies like the one that took place in February of 2015 never happens again. We do it by using our democratic mandate to invite to dialogue, build bridges, help others and by acting, because we believe the meaningless tragedies can be turned into something meaningful. Since 2016, the association has supported several initiatives and launch several of its own as well. Click below to read more about who we support and what initiatives we work with.

The Finn Nørgaard Award

Each year, on the anniversary of the death of Finn Nørgaard, the association hands out grants and awards at Landstingssalen at Christiansborg, to pay tribute to admirable initiatives. Click below to read more about the event and the former recipients. 

Each year, on the anniversary of the death of Finn Nørgaard, the association hands out grants and awards at Landstingssalen at Christiansborg, to pay tribute to admirable initiatives. The recipients are dedicated, passionate individuals who work for better circumstances for disadvantaged kids and adolescents. Click below to read more about the event and the former recipients.

Contribution

Ordinarily, the association provides grants of DKK 50.000 or less to worthy initiatives. Organizations cannot apply for grants directly but we appreciate recommendations about initiatives that deserves recognition.
